The name "Aadhaar," which literally means "Foundation," is drawn from the Hindi language.
Over a billion Indians' names, fingerprints, iris, address, age, gender, and 12-digit Aadhaar number are stored in the cloud database identification system known as Aadhaar. The legality of electronic signatures in India is governed by the Indian Contract Act and the IT Act, 2000. According to Section 2(1)(a), a subscriber's process of authenticating an electronic record using the electronic technique specified in the Second Schedule constitutes an "electronic signature," which includes a digital signature.
Section 3A, Schedule 3 of the Information Technology Act of 2000 states that an electronic signature is considered valid if all of the following criteria are satisfied:

Per the IT Act of 2000, only two kinds of e-signatures are allowed in India:
